The ailment, which is still ravaging various communities in the state, reportedly killed the victims in one month.

The victims manifest various inexplicable symptoms, with some of them emitting whitish substance and with offensive odour from their anus.

Dr. M.O. Osarenkhoe who disagreed with the claims that the disease might be caused by dirty water, said if it had defiled medications, it must be “strange.”
Some relations of the dead victims in Asaba and Ibusa, said: “We battled to save our relations, we took them to various hospitals no avail, we spent huge amount of money. There was nowhere we did not take them, we even took them to native, yet they died with offensive odour, and whitish liquid.”
