Wike raises panel to review chieftaincy stools

The Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has constituted an Adminis­trative Panel of Inquiry to review the classifica­tion of traditional chief­taincy stools in the state.
The Panel will be inau­gurated today, Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Ex­ecutive Council Cham­bers of Government House, Port Harcourt.
The governor said: “In exercise of the pow­ers conferred upon me by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 and other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (CON), Governor of Rivers State hereby constitute and appoint an Administra­tive Panel of Inquiry to review the classification of traditional stools in Rivers State.
Members of the pan­el are Mr Sam Egbe (Chairman), Sir Samuel Ibemeru Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Chieftaincy and Com­munity Affairs (Sec­retary), Dr Samuel Wenedo (member), Dr Benibo George, Dr Godspower Jackson Iri­kana and Henry Amadi Esq, Principal State Counsel, Ministry of Justice and counsel to the Panel of Inquiry.
