@SaharaReporters Tried To Extort Money From Saraki – @MrBanksOmishore

Special Assistant to Senate President Bukola Saraki on New Media, Bamikole Omisore has alleged that the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore tried to extort money from his principal in an attempt to use his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal to blackmail him.

Mr. Omisore made the allegation on Twitter while reacting to a report by Sahara Reporters which alleged that Saraki bribed the chairman of the CCT, Danaladi Umar with two million dollars to rule in his favour.

While describing the online medium and its publisher as propagandists, Omisore said if Sowore had any evidence against his principal, he would have gone ahead to leverage on the whistle-blower policy of the federal government to expose Saraki instead of  reporting “fake news”.

He disclosed to The Brief that “There is a pending case against Sowore and very soon, we are going to release details and proof of his attempt to extort.”
